The Census List
The project is to research and create an ongoing census that includes online access with pictures and stories of these surviving copies. While the 1830 Palmyra edition is of major interest, the project includes the following:
1830 Palmyra
Of the 5,000 copies printed, only a few hundred survive.
1837 Kirtland
Of the 3,000 copies delivered, less than a few hundred are known.
1840 Nauvoo
A miracle 4,000 copy printing project of the time, less than 1,000 exist.
1841 Great Britain
The first overseas printing of little over 4,000; many have been lost.
1842 Nauvoo
Only 640 copies were ever printed, fewer remain.
1869 Deseret Alphabet
A printing of only 500 copies in the Wild West, few exist today.
1899 Nephite Records
A 3rd party edition that relatively few knew about.
