Provenance	Book recorded in 1892 Library catalog, but not in 1846 Library catalog. Library “type two” stamp on title page verso used between 1837-1929. Insertion of a letter dated 1900 by Alexander A Lesueur, Missouri Secretary of State, in answering an enquiry from J. R. Hindley who resided in Stoke Newington, London, and a handwritten note (from The Boston Weekly Messenger in 1834?), both on the death of Joseph Smith.
Unique Features	Spine: Rebound Spine and cover. Spine Lettering and Label: title on upper third section in gold lettering Cover: Rebound cover, Binding: New binding, pastedown and end papers. Letter from Secretary of State of Missouri dated June 28 1900 attached into front endpapers. Title Page: present and attached. Black ink spot in center of page at end paragraph. Text: Full text block Inscription: None recorded Notes: front end paper crossed out obsolete shelfmark (691.b.27) is pencilled under the item's current shelfmark (C.58.d.10). Small Type Three hand stamp of the period of 1929- 1973 is also found on the back pages and the two documents.
